Hi folks, I understand that the charter of this list is to focus on what can be done with existing web technologies. That being said, I just wrote a blog post where I vent a little about how lame existing HTML5 technologies are for advanced content creation. http://www.taodyne.com/shop/dev/blog/302-5-ways-tao3d-is-so-much-better-than-html5. I use Tao3D, the open-source 3D programming language I invented, as a comparison point to show how much room for improvement there is. Is there any concerted effort at the moment to think about improving the core languages of the web for the kind of real-time content requirements that keep being discussed on this list? I’d really like to bring the benefits of Tao3D to the web, but I need help for that, either open-source developers, or funding, or ways to showcase the technology to motivate people to get there with HTML6.
