Dear JC, Exactly I am thinking about a general and precise signaling mechanism which can be used as you said for ad insertion but also for other use cases. Something like this: window.addEventListener('BroadcastEvent', function(evt){ // access event data using evt.data }). This code can be used in the "Channel Bounded Application" to register to broadcast events. Your "eventing mechanism" extends the need to expose AIT informations (which is already expressed in use case 7 [1]. Not sure which one you're thinking of. > > Regards > JC > > > [1] http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/Media_APIs/Use_Cases#7._.22Use_Case_Seven_.E2.80.93_Channel_Bounded_Applications.22 >> Bassbouss, Louay <mailto:louay.bassbouss@fokus.fraunhofer.de> >> 28August 2013 3:21 PM >> >> Dear all, >> >> I submitted yesterday a new UC "Multiscreen advertisement" <http://www.w3.org/2011/webtv/wiki/Media_APIs/Use_Cases#12._.22Use_Case_Twelve_.E2.80.93_Multiscreen_Advertisement.22> . I think a new "Eventing Mechanism" between Broadcasting service and Applications is needed for this UC.
