To follow up releasing our Universal Control API specification [1], I am
very pleased to announce that we have now released the source code for
some of our prototypes. The code is available now from github [2].
Specifically, we are releasing:
* a MythTV based implementation of the Universal Control Server
* a simple web based client that lets you change channels and
look at now/next programme metadata
Most of the code is licensed under the Apache 2 Licence, with the
exception of components that link with MythTV which are licensed under GPL
v2 (to comply with MythTV's licensing).
We have been continuing to iterate our spec and this code therefore
implements a slightly later revision (v0.6) than that we have published
before [3]. We hope to make that new version available publicly and freely
soon.
We hope that this can provide useful inspiration in the development of
specifications in this area by the Home Network TF and other groups.
Matt
