Hi Gregg, Loïc, Apologies, I’m just not getting it. Currently, the requirement says: “Navigational mechanisms that are repeated on multiple web pages within a set of web pages occur in the same relative order each time they are repeated, unless a change is initiated by the user.” If I understand you both correctly, you are proposing this rewrite: “Navigational mechanisms that are repeated *within a web page* [or document/software] occur in the same relative order each time they are repeated, unless a change is initiated by the user.” How can navigation mechanisms occur in the same relative order (definition: “same position relative to other items”), if they are intentionally repeated on different parts of the web page? RE not taking you do a different place on the same page. - the rule is about mechanisms on the same page — not navigation to the same page. Best does that help? First of all, I’m not sure that these controls meet the definition of navigational mechanism because they don’t take you to a different place on the same page. Secondly, in this example the top controls were consistent with the bottom controls -- does it occur commonly that the controls are inconsistent when they should be consistent (emphasizing that there is often good reason for controls above a table/content to be different to controls after the table/content)? Dear all, At the end of today's meeting Shadi asked me why I was proposing to change the scope of SC 3.2.3 so it also applies to single web pages. And I have said that I will provide examples. Attached is a Word document with such an example, taken from Moodle (UPM installation). Hopefully it will be useful for further discussion.
