Issues and PRs (and regrets thru 22 July)

Hi Mary Jo,

As you've noticed, this week I submitted a few issues and PRs. I've reached a stopping point (heading out on vacation for 2 weeks). So this would be a good moment to merge the editorial PRs.

Regrets for our calls, I will be back in the office on July 22.
