Hi all, Great meeting today! Here’s the link to today’s minutes: https://www.w3.org/2023/01/26-wcag2ict-minutes.html Meeting summary: * Announcements: We hope to have a draft ready for the AG working group in 2-3 weeks. There is a steady stream of new WCAG SC draft guidance to review, and I hope to get 3 more in the draft soon along with the Background. One hold-up is to get the includes of the original WCAG SC text working in the markdown. * Standup for self-assigned work: If anyone is having blockers or issues with drafting content, let me know. We have 2 SC that are ready and some definitions from WCAG 2.1 with proposed interpretation that we can survey. The * Readiness to incorporate the Background section into the editor’s draft: We agreed this is ready to incorporate with a few edits. Task Force participants also found some things to address in the Guidance section, now noted in issue 19<https://github.com/orgs/w3c/projects/13/views/9?pane=issue&itemId=13106419> for further updates and discussion. * Readiness to incorporate SC 2.1.4 proposal into the editor’s draft: Had a good discussion and have a few options to discuss further next week. We will likely add some text (to be drafted) to the definition of keyboard shortcut to scope out the long press of a key as a shortcut. Further discussion is needed to decide whether to have any notes or to potentially have notes on one or both of the following: 1. to clarify the “turn off” options that are typically used in non-web software (individual vs. all as part of an “accessibility mode”) 2. to draw attention to the definition of keyboard shortcut to scope out long presses of a key. Best regards, Mary Jo Mueller IBM Accessibility Standards Program Manager
