RE: oops wrong subject.. it is SC 2.4.5 for Team B

David,

I took your draft and converted it to a wiki entry for 2.4.5, for
consideration by Team B:

http://trace.wisc.edu/wcag_wiki/index.php?title=Supplementing_link_text_
with_hidden_text

Could you review it and see if it captures the technique correctly
(especially since I found myself trying to write words about HTML and
CSS, always a risky undertaking for me.) I'd particularly like the test
procedure reviewed.

Also, I had a question: wouldn't this technique cause the combination of
the visible and invisible link text to be spoken by the screen reader?
For example, would the links in example 2 be labeled "HTMLWinnie the
Pooh" and "PDFWinnie the Pooh"? Do word breaks need to be added, or does
that happen automatically via the <span> or CSS style?

Subject: oops wrong subject.. it is SC 2.4.5 for Team B

Ben suggested I contact TEAM B with this proposed technique for hidden
link text in HTML as a sufficient technique for how to meet SC 2.4.5.

I have created the technique in our WIKI format with examples. It is
based on Don Evans AOL example.
