The form seems to end abruptly-- I don't hear any response options for the failure for SC 1.3.6 (shape alone), and I can't find a submit button! Here are my notes so far: <johnNotes> GL1.3 Survey results 09 February survey Failure due to using space characters to format tables HTML Failure: due to using th elements and summary attribute in layout table Editorial: 1. Delete comma in title of failure 2. Description section: Replace first sentence with the following: a. <proposed>The objective of this technique is to describe a failure that occurs when a table used only for layout includes either th elements, a summary attribute, or both. This is a failure because it uses structural (or semantic) markup only for presentation.</proposed> Failure when text in an image uses color for info but alt doesn't convey the info (Other) The example describes a picture of a table, and implies that the failure is due simply to failure to include color info in the alternative text. This might imply that it's OK to use pictures of tables instead of actual data tables. (I think that fails all by itself.) Suggest using an example of a bar graph or pie chart instead. Common failure: using CSS for variation without appropriate structural markup If this is a "common" failure, consider changing "CSS" to "style sheets"; consider changing "structure" to "semantics provided by the technology". Or else just make this a HTML/CSS failure. Form ends abruptly-no responses to 1.3.6 failure available, no submit button </johnNotes> "Good design is accessible design."
