Here is the current wording for SC 3.1.5: <current> 3.1.5 When text requires reading ability more advanced than the lower secondary education level, one or more of the following types of supplemental content is available: [ How to meet 3.1.5] List of 3 items 1. A text summary that requires reading ability less advanced than the lower secondary education level. 2. Graphical illustrations of concepts or processes that must be understood in order to use the content. 3. A spoken version of the text content. </current> And here is the proposed new wording: <proposed> When content requires reading ability more advanced than the lower secondary education level, supplemental content is available. </proposed> Rationale: 1. Proposed wording is more readable than current wording. 2. Items (a), (b), and (c) in the current wording are actually techniques for meeting the success criterion. The WG has consistently worked to avoid describing t3echniques within the actual SC. This proposal does not require any changes in the list of sufficient techniques.
