I took a stab at the Guide Docs for the two success criteria for captions. I'd like feedback on the following: - I have L2 SC1 reference L1 SC1 for techniques and references, since in both cases we require captions; only the characteristics of the multimedia (prerecorded vs live) are different. Does this seem ok, or should the information be repeated in Guide Doc L2 SC1? Should more of the sections of L2 SC1 just reference L1 SC1? - Do we need discussion or techniques for what makes good captions, parallel to discussions about what makes good alt text? Is it ok just to reference existing resources on the web? - It seems like the techniques need to apply to the multimedia technologies, i.e., there is no HTML technique for captions. Does this seem right? - There is no SMIL techniques document. I tried putting the SMIL techniques in-line in the Guide Doc. Does this seem ok? Is it ok to include SMIL techniques here when we don't include them for other SC such as GL 1.1? Loretta Guarino Reid lguarino@adobe.com Adobe Systems, Acrobat Engineering
