For EARL reports we need the following pieces:

* Assertor - constant value (for example "TSD TF")
* Subject - the test sample from the TCDL "files"
* Test - the technique from the TCDL "rules" (?)
* Result - has the following parts:
+ Validity - pass/fail from the TCDL "rules" (?)
+ Instances - pointers from the TCDL "locations"
+ Message - human readable error message

Ideally the error message is also somewhere in the TCDL but I am not sure where. IMO, all the required info should be available in the TCDL and generating EARL reports should be as simple as an XSLT file or similar mechanism for translation.

Actually, I am not sure if I am with you ;) I hope a mapping document will not be necessary...

Best,
