Jeannie is a spry 85-year-old widow who regularly participates in activities at her local senior center and is an avid needlework artist (tatting: the making of lace) who is almost adamant about not becoming involved with computers. She is representative of millions of ageing folks who, although they have not yet taken the plunge into email, etc. are intrigued when shown how the Web would be useful for them. Getting Jeannie over that first hurdle is important because people like her become bellwethers for their peers. ---------------------------------------------- Where EO misses is this early stage about which we have been rather silent. I don't think ANY of our materials would be of any use in the process of getting her aboard and perhaps we should brainstorm a bit about a different level of material addressing this large segment of the world's population. Love.
