We currently have a functional search that gives the user the option of searching WAI or all of the W3C. http://www.w3.org/WAI/search.php It does a search of w3.org. The WAI specific search appends the WAI keyword onto the end of the search string. This takes minimal work to maintain and will include documents that are outside of w3.org/WAI (i.e. TR Documents & minutes). There are a couple of open issues with the user interface of the search. What should we call the labels on the search page? for the search options - *WAI Guidelines & Documents *All W3C Documents links to mail search - *W3C Mailing Lists Search *W3C Mailing Lists Advanced Search What should we use for the button & field labels on the search page? * button label: Go, Search, Search WAI, ...? * field label: Search:, Search for:, ...? What should the link be called in the static nav area? * WAI Site Search Should the search box go in the static navigation box?
