Remember your user.....not everyone is going to like just bullets. You are jumping from one frying pan into another. I think you need to consider a happy medium not extremes. The introductory sentence sets the tone. You need tone to frame your bullets. It is your PR piece and critical to making the content of the blurb work. Here is my suggestion (see below - I used Shawn's bullets). It sets the tone for the bullets. It adds the spin of purpose - web accessibility. It highlights standards harmonization and international collaboration. Yet, it leaves the bullets as succinct, eye-skimming pieces to grab if you want to and ignore if you don't want to read...... Charmane _________ Web accessibility thrives where people cooperatively develop and promote international standards and resources for seasoned web developers as well as those just getting started. The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) advances Web accessibility by providing that essential collaborative international forum. WAI develops... - guidelines widely regarded as the international standards for Web accessibility - support materials to help understand and implement Web accessibility - resources through international collaboration WAI welcomes... - participation from individuals and organizations around the world - volunteers to review, implement, and promote guidelines - dedicated participants in interest groups and working groups -- MSU: Advancing Knowledge.
