Dear TF participants, There will be no meeting 18 January. Please use some of the meeting's time to review the following changes and reply to this message if you disagree or have further edits. 1. Topic Multimedia and Animations, teaching ideas, second bullet https://deploy-preview-433--wai-curricula.netlify.app/curricula/designer-modules/multimedia-and-animations/#topic-movement-and-anim ations Changes based on previous meetings discussions. Main ideas for instructors include. - Flashing can be dangerous for people, so designers must avoid it. - Encourage students to learn more about the different types of seizures caused by flashes. NO link to resources we do not have control over and cannot update if needed. - For info on accessibility requirements, see Understanding Documents. 2. Topic Complex Images, learning outcomes for topic, second to last bullet, last sub bullet https://deploy-preview-433--wai-curricula.netlify.app/curricula/designer-modules/images-and-graphics/#topic-complex-images - Previous: "if the descriptions could ultimately replace the image itself" - Proposed change: "if the descriptions are equivalent to the information provided in the image" Rationale: Some interpreted the previous iteration as if we were promoting the use of plain text instead of complex images. This tries a more descriptive approach. -- Have a nice week all. Best. -- Daniel Montalvo Accessibility Education and Training Specialist W3C/WAI
