Hello all, It has been a great discussion today. Thanks again for your contributions and support. As a follow-up, please have a look at the below and comment if you have some time during the week. This will help me continue with the developing of the coming modules for these curricula. Module 3: Images and Graphics Old version https://wai-curricula.netlify.app/curricula/developing-accessible-content/images-and-graphics/ New proposal https://deploy-preview-238--wai-curricula.netlify.app/curricula/developing-accessible-content/images-and-graphics/ In module 3, we propose to move functional images to its own topic. Now that we start to separate the different types of images, it has come to mind that there are different use cases for simple, complex, or functional images of text. Should they have its own topic? Can we include them in any of the already available topics? -------- Module 6: Widgets Old version https://wai-curricula.netlify.app/curricula/developing-accessible-content/widgets/ New proposal https://wai-curricula.netlify.app/curricula/developing-accessible-content/widgets/ Current first topic of module 6 is an introduction to WAI-ARIA. This may sound repetitive with respect to module 4 of the previous curriculum which is already a prerequisite for this one. https://www.w3.org/WAI/curricula/introduction-to-web-accessibility/principles-standards-and-checks/ What are your thoughts on introducing the idea of progressive enhancement to explain the different layers of a custom component instead of introducing WAI-ARIA up-front? For those who teach these contents: do you introduce WAI-ARIA up-front or you try to relate it with other developer skills/ If so, which ones you choose? Thanks. Best. -- Daniel Montalvo Accessibility Education and Training Specialist W3C/WAI
