Dear WAI Chairs, TF Facilitators and Team Contacts: Happy New Year! I hope that you had a good holiday break, and have been safe and well. We were scheduled to meet this Wednesday January 12th, however I must give my regrets for this week as I have a conflict which I can't move. Our next WAI Coordination Call meeting will therefore be Wednesday January 26th. A few things in the meantime: * Please take a few minutes to update your publication plans here, and let us know the status of announcements preparation: https://www.w3.org/WAI/cc/wiki/WAI_Announcement_Drafts * Please send information about any new documents planned so that other WAI groups are aware of your work * Minutes from our December 15th meeting are available here: https://www.w3.org/2021/12/15-waicc-minutes Additionally, most years I try to touch base with each WAI Chair around the CSUN Conference in Los Angeles, for those who attend. Sometimes this is a brief call to check in how things are going in your working group; other times it's an opportunity to have a broader or more informal discussion about trends and issues in the field and how those might affect your working groups, and your thoughts on priorities for WAI. I've cancelled my plans for CSUN this year due to the Omicron wave. Since there aren't many opportunities these days for "hallway conversations" at conferences, I wanted to give a heads-up that I'll be reaching out to offer a virtual check-in with each of you in the next few months -- sort of a virtual cup of coffee -- if we haven't otherwise had a chance to talk in recent months. Thanks, - Judy -- Judy Brewer Director, Web Accessibility Initiative at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) 32 Vassar St. Room 385, MIT/CSAIL Cambridge MA 02139 USA www.w3.org/WAI/
