Dear Judy, All: APA would request an agendum on our next WAI CC teleconference for followup of an intergroup conversation that was tasked to APA and EO some weeks ago: agenda+ Renaming APA's Personalization Specifications EO and ApPA's Personalization Task Force have met on several occasions to develop a new name for the set of normative specifications being developed in this APA TF. As there's been some level of "can live with" in closing on a consensus, and as we feel it's important to craft a meaningful expansion for the newly proposed name, we're thinking it would be helpful to get widest review in WAI before we move into CR. The winning proposal is: WAI-ADAPT The backup (which EO actually hasn't seen yet) was WAI-APT. The candidate expansion for either would be "Adaptable Personalizable Technologies." EO has been tracking this conversation in this github issue: https://github.com/w3c/wai-personalization-standards/issues/9 That includes pointer to background and this draft: https://deploy-preview-8--wai-personalization-standards.netlify.app/personalization/ Best, Janina -- Janina Sajka (she/her/hers) https://linkedin.com/in/jsajka Linux Foundation Fellow Executive Chair, Accessibility Workgroup: http://a11y.org The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Co-Chair, Accessible Platform Architectures http://www.w3.org/wai/apa
