Fwd: Group Meetings self-organization during the Fall 2020 TPAC Event

Hi WAI CC:

WG Chairs should have already received a copy of this coordination email
regarding TPAC planning.

Please check the coordination questions below, and respond as she
suggestions.

They are particularly interested in getting early responses, if you
already know your plans, or if you have questions in advance.

Thank you,

- Judy

Dear Group Chairs,
Advisory Board and TAG Members,

Further to the Fall 2020 TPAC Event announcement [1], you will find further information regarding the group meetings:

------------------------------------------
WG/IG/BG meetings
------------------------------------------

This year, the groups will organize their distributed meetings and
decide whether they want to appear on the global meeting schedule we will publish.

The groups appearing on the schedule will agree on the following principles:

  *

create interaction with more of the community

  *

allow observers so that members of our community have the opportunity to see the work of the W3C groups.

The group meetings will not overlap the TPAC breakout week (26 to 30 October)

------------------------------------------
Joint Group meetings
------------------------------------------

The joint meetings could be organized in a single week during the week of the 12-16 October.

As for the groups meetings, observers will be allowed.

------------------------------------------
WG/IG/BG and joint meetings organization
------------------------------------------

In order to publish a global meeting schedule, we ask the Chairs to enter their meeting details on the following wiki before *Thursday 13 August*:
https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2020/GroupMeetings

The W3C Events Team [w3t-tpregister@w3.org] is at your disposal for any assistance with planning your meetings.

Best regards,
Alexandra Lacourba
W3C Global Events Coordinator
