At the moment web accessibility testing and evaluation companies are very well represented in the WAI - possibly more then the people with disabilities in some places. Do we need to get the balance correct? For example people from testing and evaluation companies prefer expert testing rather than testing from people with disabilities. Another example is an email sent to COGA that the COGA Success criteria would require these companies to employ someone who understands language rules or use new types of tools, and this is not acceptable to them. I am concerned with the weighting that these companies have with our consensus system including for silver. Of course there are many fantastic individuals who rise above any conflict they may have with their employer. But there is a concern.
