Dear WAI Interest Group,

WCAG 2.2 is now updated to a 'Candidate Recommendation':

 https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/

We plan to publish the finalized WCAG 2.2 in December 2022.

For a list of changes in WCAG 2.2, see:

Please bookmark that page and point others to it for the latest information on WCAG 2.2. We will update it with official information once we reach consensus.

Candidate Recommendation:
The main purpose of Candidate Recommendation is to ensure that WCAG 2.2 can be implemented. It is stable at this stage; however, it could change based on implementation experience. More about Candidate Recommendation and the process for completing WCAG 2.2 is in:

Implementations and Comments:
*4 October 2022* is the deadline for implementations and comments. We welcome examples of the new WCAG 2.2 success criteria implemented in websites and web apps.
