This would be better illustrated on the Tickets page - this item was 
referring particularly to body text or other smallish text of 1 or 2 
pixels width where the dark surround appears to bleed into the light 
text area making the text seem even smaller than it really is.

I'd suggest the "Buy tickets by phoning the M-u-s-i-c line" banner be 
turned into white text at he current size on black.

I also wondered if the "more city parks" illustration on the before Home 
page could cycle through a variety of images, and on the after Home page 
display a single static image that is (potentially) different each time 
the page is loaded.
