Dear Process experts at the meeting yesterday we identified the few remaining questions we will be working on to finish our work on Process2021. They are labeled in Github: <https://github.com/w3c/w3process/labels/P2021%20final%20cleanup> There are two one-sentence questions in there, and two that are about simplification of the process document, trying to make it easier to read. One simplification is a proposed re-write of the Introduction to provide a ‘road-map’ of the document (no normative changes). We’d like this intro to be helpful and decided to leave it open to the next meeting to get any refinements you have. The other concerns re-structuring the document, so that matters are in more logical groupings and places. <https://github.com/w3c/w3process/pull/529> This means moving a lot of text around — again, no changes to normative language. Unfortunately, this will mean, of course, that a simple HTML DIFF of this proposed document against the current active process is expected to be unhelpful. For this reason, our editor has agreed to keep a preview of the result; it is linked from the pull request <https://pr-preview.s3.amazonaws.com/frivoal/w3process/pull/529.html>. He has also agreed to provide a ‘manual diff’ so that if we accept this re-org, we can nonetheless highlight the changes of substance, to the community. Again, we agreed not to merge this yet to leave time for comment, and also leave the document in its current structure. I expect to make decisions on these few remaining questions, and make the formal consensus decision to send to the AB/W3M for them to send to the AB, at the next meeting on 26th May. If you have comments on this proposed consensus, any of those questions, or feel that something else should be addressed, please either respond to this email, attend the meeting, or comment in the issues in Github. Specifically, if you object to sending this document to AB/W#M and on to the AC, potentially with these four questions addressed, we need to hear your reasoned objection to the proposed consensus either here, in email, or in the upcoming meeting.
