gerard: MPAI is another protocol for inter-agent communication

  Agent AI protocol community group

   MPAI [13]https://mpai.community

     [13] https://mpai.community/

   gerard: multimodal conversation
. you have to pay to be a member, but not to participate
. using the spec doesn't cost

debbie: we should be trying to reach out and talk to them

gerard: we need to find out about their meetings

debbie: we should look at this paper

   [14]https://w3c-cg.github.io/ai-agent-protocol/

     [14] https://w3c-cg.github.io/ai-agent-protocol/

   following on from [15]https://agent-network-protocol.com/

     [15] https://agent-network-protocol.com/

debbie: we should read the paper and then have some discussion

issue 65, we should add a column for requirements

  issue 65

   version is a requirement

gerard: all the general features are of interest

   debbie: location?

gerard: yes, depending on the application

   debbie: what about semantics?
. agents don't need semantics anymore because of LLMs

gerard: Open Voice uses which LLM?
. if you use RAG you're back to structured semantics

debbie: external agents are not supposed to need to know the
   internal semantics

kaz will you be joining us in voice interaction?

debbie: whether or not semantics format is a requirement should
   be further discussed

  workshop

kaz: is contacting possible program committee members

<kaz> [16]Kaz's comment on the PC for the workshop on GitHub

     [16] https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/221#issuecomment-3078812718

kaz: we have 6 people and some more can join

   AI Agent Protocol Community Group

<kaz> [17]AI Agent Protocol Community Group

     [17] https://www.w3.org/groups/cg/agentprotocol/

debbie: should we invite someone from that group?

ACTION: Kaz to contact Song XU about their possible
   participation

kaz: the workshop will be two hours on two days to accommodate
   multiple time zones

gerard: agrees to be on PC

gerard: timeline? call for proposals and think about the actual
date and time, CfP in September

   kaz: workshop in October

gerard: do we have a call for proposals ready?

   <kaz> [18]draft Call-for-Participation

     [18] https://w3c.github.io/smartagents-workshop/

debbie: when do we start telling people?

kaz: that should be decided by PC, so probably the end of July

debbie: when should we have the first PC call?
   . as soon as possible

gerard: we could use one of these meetings, like July 30

debbie: we should think about one or two more people for PC

kaz: I will talk with the Smart Cities chairs and also Web of
   Things

ACTION: Kaz to contact Michael Koster about his possible
   participation in the PC

debbie: we'll give them a few days to decide if they want to
   join

   debbie: what about the agenda?

kaz: logistics (date, organization structure, procedure to get
statements and review, interest in potential topics

   debbie: desired outcomes

gerard: are we asking for submissons? how many pages?

kaz: one or two line statements
. we are not interested in research papers
. statement, problem and potential solution involving web
   standards

<kaz> [19]Smart City Workshop proposal submission mechanism

     [19] https://w3c.github.io/smartcities-workshop/speakers.html#submit-form

kaz: for Smart Cities we decided to form an Interest Group
. usually go from Community Group, Interest Group, then Working
   Group

debbie: one outcome would be to decide if there was enough
interest to form an Interest Group

debbie: for the next call we'll plan to have the program
   committee meet
