final comments from jim

Here is a continuation of my comments on Intelligent Personal
Assistant Architecture, Architecture and Potential for
        Standardization Version 1.1

        3.2.2 Dialog Management

*Change to “dialog manager”*

*3.2.3.2 Knowledge Graph*

Missing a verb: “A knowledge graph to reason about entities and intents.”

The relationship among the following entities is not clear:

·Session (3.3.2)

·Dialog management (3.2.2)

·Dialog (3.2.8

·Core dialog (3.2.8.1)

·Dialog x (3.2.8.5

·Intent set (3.2.8.4)

May I suggest a small glossary of terms that defines these entities and
their relationships. The glossary should also include “voice registry”
which is a Open Voice Network term for a registry for “voice
applications”.A “voice application” may contain several dialogs.

3.2.8.7The OVN’s Voice Registry System contains dialogs that a
registered with OVN and are available for use by all IPAs.A subset of
them may be downloaded to IPA’s local dialog registry. (It is important
to note the OVN Voice Registry System is a world wide resource similar
to DNA and should not be confused with the similarly named IPA voice
registry.

          3.3.4.1 IPA Provider X

I think there will also be thousands of specific IPA providers for
individual businesses such as Target, Wallgreens, Safeway, etc.I forsee
a big trend here: every enterprise that has a web site will also have a
IPA Provider

          3.3.4.2 Provider NLU

There is a NLU in the orange Dialog box and several Provider NLUs in the
blue API/Data box. There appear to be two systems (1) the orange
GENERAL-PURPOSE system which handles simple, common requests, and (2)
several blue SPECIFIC PURSE systems for handling specific domains. Is
this correct?

    5. Potential for Standardization

This will be a lot of work.

Good set of potentially related standards
