RE: Schema.org Required Properties (Was "Re: Issue with rich snippets tools testing tool & businessEvent")

Dan advised me to write about our testing tool: http://webmaster.yandex.com/microtest.xml

If you see Russian version switch to English using small flag at the bottom of the page.

For now tool validates only those formats and in the way that we consume.

List of formats:

* Schema.org: ImageObject, VideoObject, Recipe, Organization and Place (with almost all children), Scholarly Article

* Microformats: hcard, hreview and hproduct (for auto), hrecipe

*         Opengraph for video

* Own markup for encyclopedia articles

The specifics of consuming is fully described in our documentation:

*         Schema.org: http://help.yandex.ru/webmaster/?id=1122752

*         Microformats: http://help.yandex.ru/webmaster/?id=1111670

*         Opengraph: http://help.yandex.ru/webmaster/?id=1116426

* Markup for enc. articles: http://help.yandex.ru/webmaster/?id=1112160

Unfortunately now it is available only in Russian.

For general legal reasons, the competitive nature of the search engine business, and for anti-trust laws, you will typically not get an official statement by the search engines on aspects related to the consumption of schema.org markup.

http://help.yandex.ru/webmaster/?id=1122752 is official enough for me. Alex and others from Yandex actively follow this list.
