Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

This is a Call for Review of a proposed re-charter for the TV Control
Working Group:

     https://www.w3.org/2017/03/tvcontrol.html

Please review the charter and indicate your support using this online form:

     https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/tvcontrol-2017/

The deadline for responses is 23:59, Boston time on 28 April, 2017.

The current TV Control Working Group Charter [1] is hereby extended to
15 May 2017 to allow time for the review.

The TV Control Working Group was created in 2016 to work on the TV
Control API. The group made significant progress on the API, adopting a
new design based on the capabilities and constraints model from the
Media Capture and Streams specification in particular to integrate
feedback and concerns raised by members and the TAG. The proposed
re-charter of the TV Control Working Group gives the group time to
iterate on and stabilize the current Working Draft, without changing the
scope. A diff [2] showing changes between the new and old charters is
available.

Given the current level of participation in the Working Group, we are
particularly interested in the (non-binding) expressions of interest in
participating or using the results, to help us determine whether there
will be sufficient Member participation and industry adoption to help
the work succeed.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Francois Daoust, Entertainment Champion and Team Contact, at fd@w3.org.

This charter review and extension follow section 5 of the W3C Process
