Hi Amy, thank you for that. I've updated the "For example" line to change MAY to may as the minimum acceptable change, for now. kind regards, Nigel ________________________________ From: rhiaro <amy@rhiaro.co.uk> Sent: 03 December 2022 11:10 AM To: public-tt@w3.org <public-tt@w3.org> Subject: Additional recommendation from the FO council on charter wording Hi all, I chaired the FO Council which discussed the FO to the TTWG proposed charter recently. The outcome of the council was to continue to try to build consensus around updated charter wording. Proposed wording was drafted during the council meeting, and you have probably already seen that Nigel has made a PR to the charter with it [1]. Due to an oversight when composing the resolutions of the council meeting, I neglected to include the additional proposal to remove the "for example" sentence in 3.1, to further reduce ambiguity in the charter language, in particular as normative language ("MAY") is out of place in an example. I'll do a suggested change on the PR with this addition. Apologies for the lateness of this extra change, and to those who have already approved the PR. Take care, Amy [1] https://github.com/w3c/charter-timed-text/pull/84
