Hi I would encourage everyone to thank Andreas and then help close these (I think they are all amenable to being expeditiously addressed). I think Silvia has a proposal for how to fix the text colors, and I agree it needs specifying. I have commented as best I can… Thierry, can you add these to the VTT Wide Review page as the second-round comments? > On Sep 21, 2017, at 4:35 , Andreas Tai <tai@irt.de> wrote: > > Dear Thierry, David, > > Please find my comments for the syntax part in WebVTT and few other areas in the following github issues: > > #360 - Term "WebVTT cue settings list" defined twice [0] > #361 - Conformance Classes not complete [1] > #362 - Chapter location for defining WebVTT chapter title text [2] > #363 - Distinction between cue payload types [3] > #364 - Term definition with empty content [4] > #365 - Text color must be mandatory [5] > > In general the spec has improved especially by providing more examples and responding to comments by different reviewers. On the other hand it is still very difficult to review the spec because of the separation between data model, syntax, parsing and presentation. Although as a reviewer you actually need to review all parts together this is very time consuming. Especially for the parsing section you need to implement the spec text (if only in a formal pseudo algorithm). This is also a reason why I submit the comments so late and for the incomplete coverage of the review (apologies for that). > > Regarding the open issues: for most of them the group/editors need to decide if a fix/update is needed. Outstanding is the comment on text color. As commented in earlier discussions this is a critical requirement for accessibility and needs to be addressed. > > Best regards, > > Andreas > > [0] https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/360 > [1] https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/361 > [2] https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/362 > [3] https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/363 > [4] https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/364 > [5] https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/365 > > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: Thierry MICHEL [mailto:tmichel@w3.org] > Gesendet: Mittwoch, 9.
