Timed-text working group minutes 19 June 2009 Present: David Kirby (DK, co-chair, scribe) Frans de Jong (FJ) Andrew Kirkpatrick (AK) Regrets or absent: Geoff Freed John Birch Sean Hayes Glenn Adams Philippe le Hegaret Minutes from call DK: We don't have much to discuss this week so the call won't be long. DK: AC Reps will have received an email asking them to complete the questionnaire on shortening the exclusion period. We need this so we can keep to our planned timetable. I've encouraged our AC Rep to complete the questionnaire. AK: No objections in principle to this but will need to pass the request to the standards team for them to deal with. DK: Any changes to the test suite to report? AK: There's the issue with padding raised by Glenn. DK: Difficult to deal with that until we have more on the call. DK: How's your progress with the Adobe implementation of dynamic flow? AK: Our developer is progressing with it currently and we're still aiming to have something running for 1st July. Is 1st July a fixed deadline? DK: Checking in previous minutes - we had planned to go to PR on 15th July, so we'll need our tests to be underway promptly. There's probably not much slack after 1st July. Best to keep 1st July at the target date. DK: Any other progress on implementations? AK: We're planning to add some support for regions, e.g. to provide top, middle and bottom thirds, and also language support, but we're not intending to implement animation. Should have these by 1st July. DK: We need to re-run the test suite with the latest implementations to check both the test suite and the implementations. I guess you're not ready for that yet. AK: No, still busy with the implementation. DK: That's all I had. Any other issues to raise? AK: FJ: No DK: OK. let's leave it for this week and hopefully they'll be more joining the call next week.
