Details omitted, but Craig Federighi’s keynote might have three minutes of interest to most of us. Apple’s goal appears to be to show ads & content while blocking cross-site tracking, and to block auto-play content of all types. For now we just leaned that blocking tracking uses “machine learning” and handwaving. Presumably there will be actual information soon. I will be curious to see what DPAs think of Apple’s approach. I have to imagine this is closer to what they had in mind for user agents than Google’s new occasional ad blocking in Chrome, which continues tracking. Aleecia
