Hi all, I just want to share my thoughts about DNT. From a European perspective we have an interesting technical mechanism to express consent which could not only be useful in the area of the www - keep Apps in mind and the whole area of web based services and solutions like smart homes, IP TV platforms and a lot of things more. Consent can only be given on the basis of clear information. So DNT has the potential to be much more than a statement like "I don't want to be tracked and I will not receive any cookies" - DNT could also be a mechanism to improve transparency, one of the most important topics of privacy and always the best basis for consent. What I'd like to do is: Create a model implementation of DNT to showcase the opportunities of the mechanism and to collect experience of implementation Show the model implementation to a data protection authority to ensure that the implementation fulfill the actual requirements out of the GDPR and the upcoming regulations in the area of the new ePrivacy directive. Get the approval of the European regulatory authority and implement. :-) I am looking forward to discuss this approach with the working group, hope for your support. Thanks in advance.
