Re: Next TPWG f2f meeting May 6-8, 2013

Hi TPWGers,

More precise details (as mentioned during Wednesday's call) for our upcoming May f2f meeting are included below.

Apple has kindly offered to host us in May; three cheers for our own David Singer for getting this set up. The location is:

  Apple Mathilda 1 (MT01)
  250 South Mathilda Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA

As a reminder, we will begin around 1pm on Monday, May 6th and meet all day on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Directions, parking and housing:

The Apple Mathilda building is a ten minute walk from the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station; Caltrain travels throughout the South Bay and up all the way into San Francisco, with connections to the Bart train system. Public transit connections are possible to SJC, SFO and OAK airports.

Driving, from Highway 280, take the De Anza Blvd/Cupertino exit (#11). Turn left if coming from San Francisco or right from San Jose. Go North on De Anza Blvd. which turns into Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road after you cross 280. Proceed on Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road past West Remington and take the left fork in the road which turns into South Mathilda Ave. Cross El Camino Real. Mathilda 1 is on the right at the corner of South Mathilda and West McKinley Avenue (the third intersection after crossing El Camino Real). From Route 101, head south on Mathilda Ave past W Washington Ave.

For parking, turn east on McKinley and then take first left behind the building to enter the parking garage on the right. 
Nota bene: Parking is restricted to four hours on the first two floors of parking structure (and is not well marked in the structure).  If you need all day parking, please proceed up the ramp at the back of the parking structure on the right and park on the 3rd and 4th levels.  No hourly restrictions on either of these floors.  **Cars will be ticketed on first & second floors for going over the time limit and parking on the lines of parking space.**

Use your favorite hotel search site to find accommodations in the Bay Area; David Singer may be able to make some suggestions if you have questions about places to stay.
