charter discussions

A number of working group participants have raised the possibility of adding broader user interface discussions to the WG charter:
	http://www.w3.org/2011/tracking-protection/charter.html

As you're all aware, such a change didn't happen when we recently extended the WG charter's duration.

In general, the most productive way to get a group's scope extended is to build broad support, across different stakeholders, for the changes you're interested in, and to make concrete, consensus-based proposals to the staff that can then be brought to the Advisory Committee for review.

In order to provide an opportunity for interested participants to discuss proposals around extending the charter's scope, we have set up a separate, archived mailing list:
	public-tracking-charter@w3.org
	http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-tracking-charter/

If you are interested in subscribing to that list, please send an email with the subject "subscribe" to public-tracking-charter-request@w3.org.
