All- Viacom is fine with the resolution of the bugs, and looks forward to seeing the specification move forward. From the perspective of a TV programmer, we are pleased to see the specification have support of rollup captions that are so prevalent in our live and near-live content. It is essential now that all implementations support these features, and that conversions between 608/708, TTML, and webVTT preserve all positioning and formatting (including roll-up/scroll). Thanks again to David, Silvia, and everyone who has contributed to this effort. regards, Glenn Glenn Goldstein SVP, Chief Technology Convergence Officer glenn.goldstein@viacom.com On 10/27/16, 1:09 AM, "singer@apple.com on behalf of David Singer" <singer@apple.com> wrote: >Reminder: I need some statements of support by the end of October, or at >least some responses that allow me what to do next! > >> On Oct 16, 2016, at 11:32 , David Singer <singer@apple.com> wrote: >> >> Friends >> >> the specification has improved a lot since we asked for wide review, >>and we have addressed most of the comments received, as represented by >>the bugs (which were in BugZilla). >> >> There are very few remaining open.
