Hi everyone, David has complete support from me for moving the specification forward to CR (Community Recommendation) in the TTWG (Timed Text Working Group). That's what the bugs at https://www.w3.org/wiki/WebVTT_Wide_Review are about. The remaining open bugs that were created based on feedback of a WD (Working Draft) are: 1. https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28473 - needs feedback from the CSS WG 2. https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28474 - which would be resolved by addressing https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/314 3. https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28408 - which I've addressed in https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/pull/317 and it's almost ready to land 4. https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28265 - which is being addressed in https://github.com/w3c/webvtt/issues/264 and likely can't be resolved at this stage as it's waiting for the HTML spec and implementations resolve their ruby issues 5. https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28258 - if anyone would like to provide a formal grammar for WebVTT, please do - my personal opinion is that the spec is fine to follow modern specification standards of the W3C where formal grammars are deemed insufficient to achieve compatible implementations, so I don't think lack of such a grammar should hold up progress About David's request for feedback on the resolutions of the bugs, I'm very happy with them, having tried to contribute myself and support the disposition and resolution of the bugs filed during wide review. Please, some others step forward as well to give David that support. Cheers, Silvia.
