https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24897 Bug ID: 24897 Summary: Regions: disallow "position" cue setting on region cues Product: TextTracks CG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: WebVTT Assignee: dave.null@w3.org Reporter: silviapfeiffer1@gmail.com QA Contact: public-texttracks@w3.org CC: philipj@opera.com, silviapfeiffer1@gmail.com The "position" cue setting for non-region cues positions the cue box, while for region cues it positions the text inside the region box. This will be very confusing when we harmonize the region and non-region cue rendering. We should probably disallow "position" on region-cues. If we want the offset feature, we should introduce a new cue setting called "indent" or "offset" or something else. But maybe there isn't really a use case for it. I'd say we remove "position" from region-cues for v1 and discuss "indent" for v2. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
