Re: published report,40 group members and workshop

Hello All,

In our activities, we using ontology-driven knowledge base in order to
build and exploit semantic repository about enterprise architecture and/or
PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) projects. Our approach is described in
more detail in this paper :
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/260453376_How_to_improve_PLM_approach_efficiency_based_on_knowledge_engineering_knowledge_management_and_semantic_web_technologies_domains

This paper describe both our business approach which is - at the end of the
day - "translated" into a specific domain ontology and our SEAMLESS
initiative which provide a toolbox in order to build ontology-driven
application.

Our SEAMLESS initiative is compliant with the “Semantic Cartography”
paradigm as defined in more detail here :
http://www.topincs.com/SemanticCartography/1345

Our vision is that such a "Semantic Cartography" paradigm could be use both
:

   - to represent ad/or visualize already captured information in a
knowledge repository

   - to capture new information in a knowledge repository

And we think than the software components in charge of those feature must
be very generic (ontology-agnostic) and both :

   - driven by the domain ontology

AND

   - driven by a representation / visualization ontology (like VISO)

We also are trying to share our thought and finding thanks to a dedicated
LinkedIn group :

https://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=8101187&trk=anet_ug_hm

See our “Hello World” post :
https://www.linkedin.com/groups/Hello-World-Post-8101187.S.5863926086101925888?qid=94b3feec-1fbb-4749-a57c-efff91de8577&trk=groups_items_see_more-0-b-ttl

And also thanks to a semantic repository which allow us to connect related
concepts :

e.g. for the “VIVO Project” topic :
http://www.topincs.com/SemanticCartography/1780

e.g. for the “ontology-driven web interface" topic :
http://www.topincs.com/SemanticCartography/1775

e.g. for “visualization ontology / taxonomy” topic :
http://www.topincs.com/SemanticCartography/1744

 Best Regards

Bernard
