I would suggest that the open source community be the main drivers for
taking these specs forward, rather than companies such as IBM, who were
heavily involved in the working group

Logically its seems to me that it might be prudent to look at AS3 and then
AP2, roughly in that order

On a meta note the cost of creating and maintaining vocabularies has seemed
to me to be a barrier to developer participation.  Perhaps improving the
devX could be something that is valuable to look at in v.next
