Hi folks, This seems like a good time to reach out with my first post to the group to try and connect some dots. When I first came upon the fediverse in early 2021, ActivityPub stood out as a protocol around which most coordination was happening. From that protocol, to the group that started it, to the forum they created, I made it to SocialHub which seemed to be the community to join. Always in the back of my mind I could see that SocialHub was related to W3C's SWICG but that the group's website ( https://www.w3.org/community/socialcg/) and its github ( https://github.com/swicg) were very quiet especially given SWICG's 100+ members. A few days ago the relationship between SocialHub and W3C was mentioned in a thread by Andreas Kuckartz and after thinking about it I created a thread ( https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/socialhub-and-w3c-social-web-incubator-community-group/2882) to inquire about this relationship. Here are the main questions: * What is the relationship *today* between SocialHub and W3C Social Web Incubator Community Group? * Does the W3C pay for hosting and for activitypub.rocks domain? * Is there overlap between administration of SocialHub and leadership in W3C SWICG? If anyone can answer these questions I think it’ll help reduce confusion and make it easier for all involved. Thanks, David (@weex@c4.social)
