The core philosophy of Open Access to Data and sharing said data on the Web, is what should drive our approach. This is what I've always envisioned the Web to be about :-) BTW - DBpedia is a good working example of the principles espoused above. Also note, the system can easily be hosted on a W3C system (I also offered this from day one).
