Mark, Ivan, > Ivan is right that this really, really *isn't* part of the problem. When two experienced SW professionals say so, I should better shut up now, right? ;) But wait! There is still something to clarify: > I tried to explain this in a great deal of detail in my previous > emails, and apologise if it wasn't clear, but I would appreciate it if > any disagreements or requests for clarity were focused on those > emails; at the moment my posts seem to be being 'referred to' without > actually being 'referred to'. Mhm. Can't see why you should be frustrated about that. As in my first answer to Ivan [1], I quite clearly stated that 'Mark has put together a comprehensive list of options we have ...' referring to your post [2]. To me, these are the options, no doubt. I did NOT intend to add something here, or question the options you laid out in great detail. These solutions are _very_ clear to me ... We just have to resolve, which one to pick. > NOTE: I should just say that the key document for us is RDF concepts, > and *not* the syntax of RDF/XML. I am very happy that you agree here with me ;) If you read my mail [1] carefully, then you will recognise that I was actually only talking about the RDF concepts [3] and IIRC it was Ivan who came up with the example from the RDF/XML syntax in [4] ... Still, I do not buy your argument, here. IMHO we have with RDFa pretty much the same situation as with RDF/XML. Both build upon the abstract syntax and RDF model defined in [3] and both are 'just' concrete serialisations of RDF graphs. Why should we not 'learn' something from RDF/XML? Cheers, Michael BTW: I already pointed out that the original intend of my posting was to contemplate on the subset of RDF we intend to support in RDFa rather than to add new solutions. Regarding solutions, you Mark, and Ben, and Steven, etc. have a lot of experience that I do respect and I am happy to learn. You can, however, believe me that I've been dealing with RDF for a while as well, so I think I can contribute a little bit, here ;) [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0101.html <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0101.html> [2] <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0003> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0003 <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0003.html> .html [3] http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-concepts/ [4] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0102.html <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-in-xhtml-tf/2007Feb/0102.html>
