Dear all,
The aceMedia IP FP6-001765 is an ongoing European project, started on
January 2004, focuses on automatic multimedia content analysis and
annotation through the use of multimedia knowledge and reasoning
services. Within the project, a network of multimedia ontologies has
been constructed. The network consists of the following ontologies:
* Top-level multimedia ontology. It represents the top-level
hierarchy of a multimedia document. The ontology is consistent with the
MDS part of MPEG-7.
* Visual descriptor multimedia ontology. It represents the visual
characteristics of a multimedia document. The ontology is consistent
with the Visual Part of MPEG-7.
* Annotation ontology. It represents concepts and relations for
automatic annotating images and videos.
* Spatiotemporal relations Ontology. It contains concepts and
relations used for the analysis of images and videos.
>From these ontologies only the visual descriptor ontology is been
published and is available in
http://www.acemedia.org/aceMedia/reference/resource/index.html
The rest ontologies are not published yet (to be appear very soon) and
therefore not available outside the aceMedia project.
IVML/NTUA has been involved in the multimedia ontology construction. I
suggest that, for the moment, the visual descriptor ontology can be
included in the first deliverable of the Task Force.
Best Regards,
Vassilis
