Dear all, I'd like to propose an extra agenda item for the upcoming F2F in Galway. Mark van Assem worked hard on an OWL/RDF schema [1] for VRA Core 3.0 [2]. Informally, VRA Core could be seen as "the Dublin Core for images", perhaps with a slight bias towards cultural heritage applications (I used Mark's schema for the MMTF's eculture use case [5]). While VRA Core is in many ways similar to DC, unlike the RDF schema for Dublin Core, there is not yet a commonly accepted RDF or OWL schema for VRA Core. Personally, I would like to see Mark continue this line of work to the point it is sufficiently mature to be published as an official WG delivarable. This would at least require coordination with the VRA [3]. Preferably, people involved with other VRA to RDF mappings (such as [4]) and those involved with the DC to RDF mapping would also be involved. I would like to discuss at the f2f to what extent the WG thinks this is a good plan, or that this work is better carried out outside the context of this WG. I know we have a tight schedule, but if we can squeeze this agenda item in somewhere I would really appreciate it.
