We are pleased to announce the release of Protege 3.1, including the OWL Plugin 2.1 http://protege.stanford.edu/plugins/owl Protege is arguably the most widely used development tool for OWL and RDF ontologies. Protege provides a graphical user interface for editing and visualizing models, and is based on an extensible open- source architecture. Protege-OWL provides a comprehensive Java API for Semantic Web applications and Protege extensions. The new 3.1 release has been tested and stabilized for several weeks. It implements massive performance improvements and bug fixes compared to previous releases. After two years of rapid evolution, the system is now stabilized and ready for production work. Please join this growing community and feel free to send your comments to the protege-owl list: http://protege.stanford.edu/community/lists.html On behalf of the Protege team, Holger Knublauch PS: The 8th International Protege Conference will be held in Madrid soon.
