Hi, My name is Rik Cabanier and I just joined the SVG working group. I've participated a little in the mailing lists during the past couple of months so you might have seen me there. I joined Adobe almost 10 years ago and during my time here, I've worked on code that translates between different graphics models. My work includes: - wrote the gradient and gradient mesh code for postscript printing. Also created support for DeviceN printing - created a PDF export library that is used by most applications to do export to PDF - created a Flash export library to export to SWF. This is used by some of applications and services. - worked on 'Wallaby' which is a tool that converts Flash graphics to HTML. This is done through a combination of SVG and CSS. I'm mostly interested in extending SVG and HTML so designers can bring over their existing artwork. This would include expanding and documenting the SVG compositing model and helping to bring it over to HTML. Animation and filters are also high on my wish list. It would be great if we can expand CSS animations to be more powerful and apply them directly to SVG elements. I'm looking forward to working with the group! Rik
