Its better tested with a > correct document, so you can see it has been inserted The point of the subtest when I wrote it was to check that WRONG_DOCUMENT_ERR is thrown when trying to insert an element from a different document, as required by DOM 3 Core. (parseXML() was used because that’s any easy way to get a node from a different document.) But I recognise that desktop browsers tend not to throw at exception, and allow nodes to swap documents without calling adoptNode(), so I don’t mind it being removed/changed. -- Cameron McCormack ≝ http://mcc.id.au/
