> Or is the conformance checker being needlessly pedantic? I'd say in this instance the conformance checker is simply wrong. While [svg-aam 5.1.2](https://w3c.github.io/svg-aam/#include_elements) is a bit odd, it specifically mentions aria-label. In addition, svg-aam also allows any role on `svg` and aria-label is allowed on the image/img role. (More importantly, the given markup also works in real life.) -- GitHub Notification of comment by pkra Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/svg-aam/issues/21#issuecomment-3450854984 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
