Re: [svgwg] Feature Request - Native support for branching vectors in SVG (#986)

Just a quick comment to say that I'm all on board for this type of functionality (although not necessarily as proposed here), but I'm not on the committee and it's very unlikely that something like will be added.

For example:
- [SuperPath](https://hal.science/hal-01793955/document) has already be proposed back in 2010, and not adopted
- I have done a whole [PhD thesis published in 2017](https://www.borisdalstein.com/research/phd/) on vector graphics topology. In SVG terminology: how best to represent shared endpoints between paths and how best to represent shared subpaths between paths, and how it makes for a better vector representation. And none of these ideas seemed to have any traction for adoption in the SVG standard.

One can always hope, though.
