> Note that I also matched existing implementations for which SVG text content elements the other alignment properties, which expands them compared to SVG 1.1 definitions. It has been pointed out to me by an editor of the CSS Inline spec that since this is a normative spec change, it needs a WG approval. And since it is a change relative to the SVG spec that only affects SVG, it should probably be this WG that reviews it! See my comment in https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/3411#issuecomment-637626164 Compare the “applies to” line of the baseline alignment property definitions in the [SVG 1.1 spec](https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/text.html#BaselineAlignmentProperties) with the [current draft of CSS Inline 3](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-inline-3/#alignment), as edited by https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/pull/5149/ -- GitHub Notification of comment by AmeliaBR Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/svgwg/issues/799#issuecomment-642097041 using your GitHub account
